Bio and Highlights
I, Diamantina Garcia, CPA, have transitioned from shoe-box recordkeeping in a small closely held family business established from the ground up to serving multi-business operations in a professional capacity in a span of over 40 years in industries covering transportation services, oil and gas, small local public accounting for small private company entities, the financial services industry, and government records and audit in local city and state government ensuring compliance and safeguarding of assets.
I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas where I studied and obtained my Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Accounting degree from Texas A&M International University in August 1989 following my two-year Associate in Arts degree in May 1988 from Laredo Junior College. I lived in Dallas, Texas during the Y2K and September 11, 2001 world events, 1996 - 2002, where I continued my studies and obtained a license in Real Estate, Salesperson and the license to practice public accountancy in Texas, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) individual license in November 1999 and later, back in Laredo, Texas, a firm license in July 2008. I also hold a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credential issued to me in July 2012 while I worked in state government with a more expanded reach toward enhancement and continual learning in our ever-changing inter-connected world.
